Description James 2009-02-17 21:54:34 UTC
Version: 1.2 (using KDE 4.2.0)
Compiler: gcc (Gentoo 4.3.3 p1.0, pie-10.1.5) 4.3.3 64 bit
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

I don't know what I was doing since it seemed random.
I wasn't using dolphin (but it may have been working in the background).
It might be related to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172875 which was reported by someone else.

This backtrace appears to be of no use.
This is probably because your packages are built in a way which prevents creation of proper backtraces, or the stack frame was seriously corrupted in the crash.

Comment 1 Frank Reininghaus 2009-02-17 23:23:08 UTC
Thanks for the bug report! Unfortunately, it does not contain enough information yet. Without either a way to reproduce the bug or a good backtrace, there's not much the developers can do about the issue :-(

If you manage to reproduce the crash, please tell us what steps are needed to crash Dolphin (if possible) or have a look at
http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports
and provide a better backtrace. Thanks!

Created attachment 32091 [details]
backtrace

Does that help?
mozilla-firefox is the only other app to crash but it just closes randomly.

Thanks for the update! The backtrace inside the archive you attached looks like the one of a crash that was reported already, I'll mark it as a duplicate.
