Description Alexander Stein 2009-02-15 19:54:10 UTC
Version: 0.9.5-0 (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: MS Windows
Installed from: MS Windows

If I'm running kdewin-installer-gui-latest.exe within a non-root session (restricted user) in Windows using the run-as feature to get the process executed by a root account (with administrative permissions), everything runs fine until kbuildsyscoca4 is executed. The installer window hangs and it doesn't update if parts were hidden by other windows. kbuildsyscoca4 is executed by the root account (verified using the task manager) and consumes 0% CPU.

If the installer is startet within a root account session everything goes fine and exists normally as expected.

I had the same problem.
After installing in an admin session all entries in the start menu were doubled.

KDE 4.2 is outdated. If this problem persists in recent KDE version feel free to reopen this bug.
