I often add my own avatars to the contacts of my contactlist. This was a nice and easy to handle feature in kopete/kde3: I could choose the avatar for a contact from a photo on my disk, finished.

I don't like the behaviour in kopete/kde4 now: A dialog with ALL added own avatars opens, and I have to choose one. Usually I will have again to choose one from disk (think about a use-case, where not to choose a new one from disk!?). And even after that, I have to choose AGAIN from this dialog. And if I have many own-avaters, I have to search this (unordered?) list...much more work for adding a simple avatar.

This features would perhaps be nice, if I could add multiple avatars at once from a directory and not ALL avatars would be shown: I think this list should be split into lists per contact.

Or please restore old behaviour.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
