Description Sofia Zaidenberg 2009-02-14 15:13:55 UTC
Version: 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0) (using 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27-11-generic

In konqueror configuration, I checked the box "remember each directory display settings" but this doesn't work. every directory is displayed using icons, even though I've selected the detailed view a hundred times. moreover, I also have to select every time to display the image previews, it doesn't remeber that either.

I'll be happy to give any further useful information.

thanks.

I have similar problem: Konqueror don't remember settings as column width and fragment of file list that I view recently when i back from view of single file to folder. I have folder with 111 graphics files with very long names. I use 'detailed' view to see whole name of file. Every time when I wont to see file near this I've seen I need set column with and look for appropriet point on list. It's very inconvenient and take meny of time:(
I use KDE 4.1.4 on Ubuntu 8.10 AMD64.

This is fixed in KDE 4.2.2 and later: all file-management related settings are now saved also when doing file management with Konqueror.
