Version:           4.2.00 (using KDE 4.2.0)
Compiler:          Cmake 2.6.2 
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Compiled From Sources

I testing all things of my desktop, compiled from sources, in general is cool, very nice, but when right clic on the icon of application, can look a menu containing few options: add to desktop and add to panel, the first option crash the desktop! but not appears nothing, only freeze, and is necessary type a CTRL + ALT + Backspace to restart the X server and restart the desktop 
This occur in "k" menu by default 
An idea?

can you attach to the plasma process using gdb to see where it is hanging and post a backtrace? thanks in advance.

In KDE 4.2.2 this problem was fixed, this bug can  be closed
