Description Stephan Sokolow 2009-02-12 23:00:22 UTC
Version: unknown (using 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0), Gentoo)
Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.25-gentoo-r7-20080501

As it is, some perfectly common configurations of the clock plasmoid waste an enormous amount of space. (See screenshot)

I'd like to request that the timezone be moved to the upper row to correct this (Perhaps dynamically depending on the relative lengths of the rows?)

It also makes more sense in terms of relevance. Day of the week is most relevant to the date. Timezone is most relevant to the time.

We have discussed this option on the plasma developers list and decided this
option will not be added to the standard clock widget. Instead we will seek to
resolve the issues with the auto-sizing code.
