Compiler:          gcc4.3 
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Debian testing/unstable Packages

How to reproduce:
1. Open konsole, launch an application from konsole, e.g. ksysguard
2. Close ksysguard, the focus returns back to konsole.
3. Type some thing, konsole does not respond to that. I have to focus another window, go back to konsole to make it back to normal.

I observed this since KDE4.1(Probably KDE4.0, too long ago, I am not sure). Two machine, one is kubuntu 8.10 and the other kubunt 9.04, both seeing this issue.

Yes, it appears not to happen every time.  But I did get it to happen quite a few times.  It is really annoying.

Can't reproduce it with KDE-4.7.0

Feel free to reopen  if this still happens in recent version.
