Version:           2.2.0 (using 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0), Gentoo)
Compiler:          x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.28-gentoo

Although Gwenview is able to generate thumbnails of jpeg2000 images it insists on saying:

"Gwenview cannot display documents of type image/jp2"

for image view/full screen.

Fixed and backported. Will be in KDE 4.2.2.

As of 21.08.0, Gwenview is not capable of opening JP2 files (see also Bug 441673).

There is Bug 441673 so there is no need to reopen this issue.

This issue is old and is about KDE 4, not KDE 5, so I think it will be best to discuss in Bug 441673, and keep this issue closed.
