Description Terrell Kelley 2009-02-10 01:59:21 UTC
Version: unknown (using 4.1.4 (KDE 4.1.4), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27-11-generic

Kdepim apps don't skin with compiz-decorator. (no Title bar, etc) All other KDE 4.1 apps skin properly.

I just installed kdepim from synaptic, as it didn't update when I upgraded to Ubuntu 8.10.

I am still using Gnome, as there as I am waiting for KDE 4.2 to fix some problems in 4.1.

I don't know if this problem occurs in a true KDE session. I know the default window decorator works properly there.

I described my problem on launchpad:

That's not a Kontact issue. (and the solution was given in the link in comment #1)

I hate it when people close without explaining. Kontact invokes a legacy mode in compiz. The only way to get around it is to disable that legacy mode in compiz, which would assumedly cause problems with programs that legitimately use it. It's a Workaround, not a solution.

If you just don't want to tailor Kontact to work properly in compiz, just say so. But you can't be can't be having incompatibility problems with a program, and neither of you has a bug.
