In KDE3 kmail (and knode) had a nice feature of showing full content of filed in popup when mouse was positioned on truncated filed. Would be nice to have it back in KDE4 as well.

filed == "field" :)

I have message list with long subjects that do not fit column width. In knode when I hover mouse over such field, small popup (technically this is probably tooltip) with full contents appears. KMail in KDE3 did the same. In KDE4 this feature was lost.

This is not limited to subject of course, but to any visible field.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
