Sorry, but fullscreen mode and presentation mode will not be merged anytime. Fullscreen mode is just the normal mode, but maximised without window decorations. You can do anything possible in non-fullscreen mode. In a different way, the presentation mode, as the name says, it is useful just for *presenting* a document. If your real problem is the need of zoom and two-pages view in presentation mode, then just ask so, without asking this kind of requests that is like a workaround for that. Hey Pino, this might be your personal opinion, and because of the current technical implementation, it might have some justification. However, merging fullscreen and presentation modes would be logical (=> decrease confusion) and less limiting (=> increase usability and usefulness), so imho it should be reopened, even if it is not being worked on straight away. Does someone else have an opinion on this? Yes. How do you do a transition in full screen (not in presentation mode) that has a scrollbar and you can have half page 1 and half page 2 in screen? You can't. That's why presentation and full screen are different things. Obviously merging the modes will need an UI refinement. For a good example how a functional, feature rich and STILL out of the way fullscreen gui can be implemented please have a look at the free FastStone image viewer which can be downloaded at http://www.faststone.org. It is a windows application but does run very well under wine. |
