Compiler:          gcc

I have Dolphin with aktive previews for every directory.
I also have Nepomuk/Strigi disabled.

Try:
Mark any file(s) for moving.
Go one level up (eg: from /home/bla/blub/directory/ to /home/bla/blub/)
Paste the files there.

Dolphin now freezes for several seconds (Even with very small files!)

Perhaps you have to try it more than one time, until it happens.
Konqueror has the same problem.

It happens to me too. Whenever I try to move some files, dolphin freezes for some seconds befor starting the copy. I suspect that the new plasma notifier could be resposable of this issue because all plasma is freezed when dolphin is freezed too.

Same for me:
Dolphin and Konqueror freezes for several seconds and also all plasma widgets freeze.

Mandriva 2009.0
Kde 4.2 (from kde.org repositories)
Kernel 2.6.27.15
Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz
Ram 2 GB
Nepomuk/Strigi disabled.

I've also tried to disable kwin 3d effects, but the problem is still present.

No problem when i move files in Konsole.

You're right Max: I've forgot to mention that even Plasma is freezed when Dolphin freezes.

This doesn't occur when using the "Move To" action via the right-click menu.
