Sentry Crash Report:

Description Mathieu Jobin 2009-02-06 13:40:15 UTC
Version: unknown (using 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27-11-server

It's a wish, but at the same time a Security Bug IMHO
Thus yes, KDE should wake up locked from a Sleep to RAM/DISK.

Maybe every distros should do it, maybe KDE should do it, maybe both in a common way.

thanks

Works for me in KDE 4.2 and has done for a while on Ubuntu (Hardy, Intrepid)
Comment 2 Guillaume Pothier 2009-02-07 18:38:06 UTC
There is an option in System settings/Advanced tab/Power management/General settings: lock screen on resume
Comment 3 gambas 2009-03-01 18:33:52 UTC
This option is checked there, but the session is not locked at resume from "suspend to disk".

My system: Mandriva 2009.0 / x86 with KDE 4.2
Comment 4 unggnu 2009-03-10 19:30:03 UTC
I can confirm this. Resume is locked if the sleep is initiated with the power management applet but not with the Leave start menu.

I am using current Ubuntu Jaunty.

I cannot reproduce this problem in KDE SC 4.6.2. Is this still happening with you?
