After I install KDE as per default, it is not possible to add an icon to the desktop by right-clicking. With KDE 3.5, this was possible. This is a regression bug, please fix it.

In the desktop configuration, change the desktop activity to "Folder view".

I know this. I do not want to be able to solve the problem, I want KDE to be user-friendly in the first place. Please take the time and read http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/3883 to learn why.
