Sorry, the pdf files are too large to upload. I can either mail them when requested, or they can be downloaded directly from the following website ('Softbank', a Japanese telecom): 1. Overview over mobile phones: http://broadband.mb.softbank.jp/mb/product/3G/pdf/lineup_3g.pdf 2. Overview over mobile phone functions: http://broadband.mb.softbank.jp/mb/product/3G/pdf/spec_3g.pdf Work fine here. About the text thing i already told you to install poppler-data package, it is not fun that you ignore me that way. About images, i see all of them the same way in okular than in Acrobat Reader please attach a screenshot showing the problems you see with images. As for the pictures, I found out that they are displayed alright; however, it takes some time until the full resolution is reached (ca. 10 sec on my 1GHz laptop). A good file to test this with can be found here: http://www.topeak.jp/images/pdf/babyseat/M-TCS01-J-5-05_000.pdf (Interestingly, the Japanese inside this file is displayed correctly in Okular on my system, while KPDF/KDE3 apparently has problems with it. As for the poppler-data package, I haven't found it yet for openSUSE 11.1. Am working on it. Cheers homoludens Alright, I've installed poppler-data, and the bug has been fixed. Thanks a lot for your help! PS: The poppler-data package has now been added to openSUSE 11.1, and has also been marked for inclusion in further releases. Cheers, homoludens I have been able to view Japanese documents for some time. But my attempt to view them today has failed - I just see gibberish. It has been a couple of months or more since I last viewed one (successfully). I suspect that some online-update has broken things. I do already have poppler-data installed. Another thing that was broken by a recent update is Yast2 package management using the Yast2 GUI. It works correctly with the curses interface from the command line but fails with a QT error from the GUI. |
