Description Piotr Mitas 2009-02-04 12:51:19 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages

I downloaded some photos from my camera (Fujifilm A850) and wanted to resize them - then I noticed that the files have no write permissions:

$ ls -l 100_FUJI/
razem 24120

On a side note: it would be really nice if there were some pop-up saying that a camera has been plugged in. As of now, i had to guess (!) the url "camera:/" to access it.

That's still an issue as of v18.07.90.

However, I wonder whether instead of hardcoding r/w permissions this should simply respect the umask of the target directory.

Only one issue per bug please ;) Anyway, that should be working fine in Plasma nowadays.

More than 12.5 years later, this bug persists. Gwenview is unable to resize photos downloaded by itself.
