Note that the Ubuntu bug was reported as happenin in Gnome. From KDE on 4.1.4 I cannot reproduce this on Kubuntu. Sorry, this is a red herring. I didn't realise it was a window-manager issue (which in my case is compiz + emerald, not kwin). I've followed the advice in the launchpad bug and resolved the issue. Konq still appeared with the menubar disabled, but I've changed that setting and it's survived a restart of the program, so I'm guessing it'll survive a reboot too. |
