Description Stephan Sokolow 2009-02-03 22:57:02 UTC
Version: unknown (using 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0), Gentoo)
Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.25-gentoo-r7-20080501

It should be possible to tie auto-hide in several panels together so I can use two panels, two taskbar widgets, and "only show windows on this screen" to get something reasonably similar to having a single panel span two or monitors.

What I really care about is being able to display the clock and systray on my right monitor's upper panel without having to watch which monitor's upper edge I'm slamming my pointer into, but it'd also be nice to not have to resort to thick panels or grouping when I have a lot of windows.

Hello!

This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable.

Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting

If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging

Thanks for your understanding!

Nate Graham
