Kile has a sidebar in the left side of the window (showing "Structure", "Files and Projects" or whatnot) and an output area at the bottom of the window (showing "Log and Messages", "Output" etc.). It is annoying that their placement is fixed. It would be better if the user were allowed to choose where to display these various bars: Top, bottom, left or right. 

Compare to how the Opera browser lets the user move the tab bar.
