Hello,

I have a yahoo.com account and a friend of mine a yahoo.fr accoung (I don't know if it is related). We both use exactly the same OS (but mine is a fresh install - kubuntu intrepid 8.10 64 with kde 4.2 upgrade, his is an upgrade from previous version, now he has kubuntu intrepid 8.10 32 with kde 4.2 upgrade).

Every accentuated or special character I receive and he receives appears baldy (for instance: "oui c'est reboot�" instead of "oui c'est rebooté"). I think there is something wrong in character encoding but I can't change it (it is possible in ICQ).

I was wrong, my friend has a yahoo.com account too.

I've tried and sending/receiving utf8 chars works perfectly fine. I suppose it's a setup issue on one of your systems.
