I've upgraded to Qt 4.5 beta 1 and found that notifications from Kopete didn't work anymore with this version. With Qt 4.4.3 it worked fine. From Dolphin notifications (when copying file etc.) also work. Although 4.5 isn't final release now, maybe this report will be useful.

Fixed with Qt 4.5 final and KDE 4.2.1 (don't know where exactly, I've updated it together).
