Dragging messages to collapsed folders containing subfolders used to auto-expand the folder tree at this point after some delay.

This does not work for me any more in kMail 1.11.0 / KDE 4.2.0. You have to open the target folder manually before you can drag messages into it.

This also does not work for me in Kmail 1.11.0, KDE 4.2.0, installed from Fedora Core 10.  I would like the folders to auto-expand to show subfolders the way they used to.
