There definitely need to be global shortcuts available for suspend and hibernate. Currently while running KDE4 there is no way that I can discover of being able to use the suspend and hibernate buttons on my laptop. (The functions can of course be accessed via menus, but if there are bhardware uttons for the purpose ...) Is this bug still under revision? It is quite annoying to open the powerdevil settings window just to change the brightness of the laptop. Would it be so difficult to add a shortcuts option in the powerdevil configuration program? It would be much easier to be able to configure certain shortcuts associated to powerdevil actions, such as changing between profiles, or at least to increase and decrease the display brightness. Looking forward to hearing from you, Best regards Are there any plans to implement this? For laptop users this is a pretty essential.. I don't know if this will manage to enter 4.4 (string freeze), but will surely find a place in future releases. Sorry for the long delay Where did the configuration of the global shortcuts for power events end-up? For me powerdevil does not seem to respond to Xf86suspend in KDE 4.5.2.
