I have the same problem, though I'd add that it's not just when icons change their shape - icons in the systray usually seem to have an opaque black background until getting overpainted as described. Interestingly, the one non-KDE4 application I have with a systray icon (Amarok 1.4) doesn't appear to have the problem - see attachment.
Same problem here with KDE 4.2 and Nvidia's drivers 180.27 with GeForce 7600 GT. Had this issue in all KDE4 versions I tried so far. The same problem in Kubuntu 8.10 with KDE 4.2. This is a Qt4 bug (fixed recently in Qt-copy and Qt4.5) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 158094 *** |
