In the 3.5 times, the motif style alowed to separate the menus as floating windows. I guess this is a reminiscence of those times, where the full context must be in every menu and submenu. If they are not going back, then I like your wish. Possibly the reason why "Mark Message" is repeated in the submenu actions is because these strings also appear in the "Configure Shortcuts" list. In that list, having just "Read" would not clearly indicate which action was being configured, and it would not distinguish between "Mark Message as Read" and "Mark Thread as Read". Maybe this bug should be assigned to kdelibs, to suggest having two strings associated with each action: one which will appear in a menu, and the other longer one to appear in the shortcut list or anywhere else where there is no surrounding context. Changing bug title to better reflect the issue. Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding. Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2. |
