Sentry Crash Report:

Description Harri Pasanen 2009-01-27 15:37:09 UTC
Version: Version 1.11.0 Using KDE 4.1.96 (KDE 4.1.96 (KDE 4.2 RC1)) (using KDE 4.1.96)
Compiler: gcc version 4.3.2 (Ubuntu 4.3.2-1ubuntu11)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

If I double click in find results, or click the "Open Message" button, the preview pane shows just the message headers, not the body.

At some point I got it to work by changing the aggregation mode to Flat Date View.
Now even that does not seem to help.

Regards,

Harri

This works for me in kmail 1.11.0 (kde 4.2.0).

If it works for you also, please close the bug as worksforme.

Tried again, it doesn't work for me in kmail 1.11.0 (kde 4.2.0) either.
I've sinced dropped kmail as my mailer as this is a show-stopper for me, now using Thunderbird.

Just now I did some more tests, so hopefully some leads:

It seems that it does work Ok for local folders. It fails most of the time for my IMAP folder mails, but even there it works for 1 mail in 20 or so.

Perhaps a disconnected IMAP would work, I'll have to try that some time.

I've been able to reproduce it, with an IMAP account (with dimap works) in kmail 1.11.90 (kde 4.2.62)

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
