Sentry Crash Report:

Description Harri Pasanen 2009-01-27 12:14:10 UTC
Version:           Version 0.8.1 Using KDE 4.1.96 (KDE 4.1.96 (KDE 4.2 RC1)) (using KDE 4.1.96)
Compiler: gcc version 4.3.2 (Ubuntu 4.3.2-1ubuntu11)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

To use the DCOP interface the handbook tells to run
"dcopstart ksnapshot"

It does not work, instead I get:

$ dcopstart ksnapshot
Error: Could not find service 'ksnapshot'.
Comment 1 Dario Andres 2009-01-28 03:14:56 UTC
It seems like the handbook is a bit outdated.
DCOP doesn't exist in KDE4. It was replaced by DBUS.
Look at http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/D-Bus/Introduction for more information
Comment 2 Rich Johnson 2009-04-24 01:34:59 UTC
Closing due to DCOP not being in KDE 4 as it was replaced by DBUS.
