I cannot manage my D-Link DSL-504T router via web interface using Konqueror, because http server working on it returns page with message
"401 Unauthorized
Authorization required for the URL '/'."
instead of authorization form.
Other browsers (Arora, for example) work right.

It is not the only router device which has troubles with konqueror, see bug #177505.

Fixed in 4.2.1 or 4.2.0.

If this is still an issue in the recent versions of KDE, v4.6 and newer, feel free to reopen this ticket.
