I have no idea if this is spesific to my computer or more general. Anyway, I couldn't find the bug report elsewhere, so I'll submit a report here.

In my contact list in kopete (I only use the msn protocol), the status message of some of my contacts aren't displayed. Instead it only shows "Now playing: - " (with the note icon on each side of the -). From what I can see, this is true for contacts using adium or pidgin (perhaps more, perhaps not all of those users). 

I figured out that this was the wrong message by accident because I have two accounts and I recently purchased a mac (haven't used pidgin in quite some time) I have a screenshot which I will upload to clarify further.

Snapshot of the issue. The status message from the account connected in pidgin is not displayed as (I expect) it should in kopete. Have no idea where the problem lies though... (could even be a faulty setup on my side?)

The KDE 4.1 is really old, please try with some newer version and if the bug is still there please reopen this bug or you may send me the msn id of the contact with broken status message and I can try here with recent Kopete.

I do not see the bug anymore in the current KDE 4.3.4. Guess it is fixed somehow. I will reopen if I ever see the bug reappearing.
