I haven't had this problem in quite a while, so I'm guessing it's probably fixed now, or I had some sort of configuration problem. I'm having this problem too with KDE 4.3 that's extremly annoying. Using archLinux Kdemod Is there a way to fix this ? |
Version: (using Devel) Compiler: gcc (Gentoo 4.3.2-r2 p1.5, pie-10.1.5) 4.3.2 OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources Whenever I click a link in some application, a version from /tmp is opened, and often with an incorrect KPart (such as text editor instead of a browser) To repoduce: A. Open Kickoff and click the KDE|Desktop icon on top right This opens up "/var/tmp/kdecache-alec/krun/843.0." for me B. 1. Open Konsole and run: echo http://kde.org/announcements/announce-4.2-rc.php 2. Right click the output and select "Open Link" This opens up the text viewer KPart and shows me /var/tmp/kdecache-alec/krun/927.0.announce-4.2-rc.php as XML. The most annoying part is that when someone sends me a link with Kopete, I can't open it directly. This happens with KDE 4.2 RC
