Sentry Crash Report:

Description Adam Spiers 2009-01-19 13:22:49 UTC
Version: 4.1.0 (using KDE 4.1.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

Somewhere in between kdepim 3.5.x and 4.1.2, my korganizer has seen a huge performance regression. On 3.5.x, I can hit left/right in month view and the display updates almost instantly. In 4.x, updating month view can easily take 8 seconds or more. Likewise week view is pretty sluggish, often taking several seconds to update (but not as long as month view).

I have around 8 calendars being displayed. A few are local .ics files, and the others are remote .ics HTTP "streams".

I have plenty of debugging experience and would be happy to try suggestions in order to track down the cause of this. Thanks!

Bug #150432 seems to be a similar bug but for 3.5.x.
Comment 2 Sergio Martins 2009-01-19 13:50:30 UTC
Monthview's slowness was fixed in KDE-4.1.4 and week view's was partially fixed.

Expect this completely fixed in >=4.2.1

Thanks for the quick response! I will upgrade and test when I get a chance.

I'm closing this bug then.
Please re-open if the KDE 4.2 version is still too slow.
