Description Máté Soós 2009-01-17 19:41:34 UTC
Version: svn90728 (using Devel)
Compiler: gcc 4.3.2
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

The plasma popup thing works very well for me for contacts that appear online (popups appear for about 0.5-1 sec), but the popup for new message appears for about 0.001 sec, it's a flash, and that's it. There is no chance to read it. Is this normal? There is no way that I know of to change the time any message is shown (Settings->Configure Notifications->Incoming message->'Show message in a popup' doesn't have any such thing)

I don't use compositing (i.e 3D effects are turned off), but that doesn't effect the other kind of popup (people appear online), so that's not the problem.

May this be some kind of old setting from an unstable plasma/kopete effecting the newly compiled stuff? Doesn't make sense to me...

(PS: I use svn compiled from sources by the kde42.debian.net team, plasma SVN: libplasma3 is 90720, kopete's is 90728)

Does this problem still happen with a newer build?
