Additional info: I disabled some xorg options, and now it works. I think it may be triplebuffer, as i had a crash with my nvidia desktop with triplebuffer enabled, but i will have a deeper look tomorrow, so i can maybe find the option in kde that prevents the crash if the xorg option is there. Also i will have a look if it really was triplebuffer. Hi Frank. Please could you provide us with some more information to help sort this bug out. Do you still have this problem with current KDE? If so, do you have the same problem with other desktop environments (suggesting it might be a problem at X11 level)? Thanks. Oh i forgot about this bug report, as i think it is a nvidia driver problem, because it disappeared after disabling triplebuffer. I will try to enable it again, and see if it still crashes (many updates, so maybe problem is gone). brb Ok (not nvidia of course, nvidia is my desktop) So i enabled triplebuffer again on my intel gma 3100, and no crash. Cant say if its the newer driver or the newer kde version. So bug can be closed. Many thanks for responding so quickly. |
