Description Richard Bos 2009-01-14 22:58:46 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

The "read" indicator/figure in the message liest on the right site of the folder holding the mails is contineously being reset to an old (incorrect) value.

For example the folder "buildservice" shows that there are 12 unread messages. After selecting the folder, it is synched with the server (imap account, no dimap) and the unread indicator is set to 0 (indeed all emails are read in that folder). Same for other folders. Now with the next automatic server synch (every 5 minutes) the unread message indicator is put back to the incorrect value (for this particular folder 12, for others it is a different value).

Stopping and starting kontact does not help, either. I assume the index needs to be rebuild to reset it, but there is no option (anymore) to rebuild the index of a folder.

Which kmail version are you reporting against? Do you experience this issue?

I believe that I no longer experience this issue.
Let's consider the bug report fixed. In case it happens again, I'll write
a new bug report.
