If you can reproduce the crash at will, may you read http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports and post a complete backtrace here? I think this is an already reported and fixed bug, but just to be sure, post the new backtrace. Thanks :) When it reoccurs ill try to get a more complete backtrace, although i dont think there was anything else. It happens very frequently and in specific most of the times I press DEL to delete files. If I right click and select delete it normally works fine. Dolphin crashes mostly when deleting files, but also on copying, selecting or opening folders. This time I was accesing a remote samba share. Using Kubuntu 8.10 KDE 4.2 Beta 1 Kernel 2.6.28 There are several similar bug reports, so they may be related. Here's the backtrace: Application: Dolphin (dolphin), signal SIGABRT Thread 1 (Thread 0xb5de06c0 (LWP 31576)): [KCrash Handler] #6 0xb7faf424 in __kernel_vsyscall () #7 0xb650d880 in raise () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 #8 0xb650f248 in abort () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 #9 0xb67b2795 in qt_message_output () from /usr/lib/libQtCore.so.4 #10 0xb67b2872 in qFatal () from /usr/lib/libQtCore.so.4 #11 0xb67b2915 in qt_assert () from /usr/lib/libQtCore.so.4 #12 0x08073db7 in _start () @Guillermo: your backtrace/crash may be the same as this or not . There isn't enought information in the backtrace you posted. may you read http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports and post a complete backtrace in a NEW report? Thanks a lot :) DarĂo: New bug report with backtrace is #181010. I'm using KDE 4.2 RC1, not Beta1. Is the crash from the original report still reproducible in 4.2.0? The visible parts of the backtrace look like it might be a duplicate of bug 178897 which appears to be fixed in 4.2.0. I've closed this issue, please reopen it again if it still occurs with KDE 4.2.0. Thanks! |
