I am on the net a lot and spend a lot of time waiting
for stuff to download. I like to do other stuff while this happens. It would be very cool to have a feature that would alert me when a web page/ftp directory download is complete via the kicker taskbar display - e.g. the relevant task would flash.

This could either be implemented as something specific to konqueror - e.g. konqueror's taskbar could show a little copy of the spinning KDE cog - or more ambitiously for all windows to flash up when they change state (useful if you are e.g. waiting for a telnet connection). I don't know how difficult the latter would be. Anyway I assume the real difficulty would be on the window management side of things rather than the hack to kicker so I put this RFE under kwin.
