Using the beta version 2 days ago, I could start amarok, but it had several other bugs (like music library didnÄt work etc)

Marking as duplicate of bug 175407. This is related to an error in italian/german translation in xine which crashes Phonon (and thus Amarok). Look at bug 175407 comment 9
