Sentry Crash Report:

Description Javier G. 2009-01-05 04:24:53 UTC
Version:            (using Devel)
Installed from:    Compiled sources

I noticed that if you add an icon to Favorites from the "Leave" menu of Kickoff, for example the shutdown icon, they can be dragged with the mouse cursor to any panel or over the desktop.
The result is an icon with the "?" symbol as icon image that does nothing.

I think that those special icons should not be draggable from Favorites tab.

But as little wish... Is there any possibility in future KDE versions to drag those icons from the Leave menu in panels/Desktop? Personally, I don't like the "lock/shutdown" plasmoid...

I'm using KDE 4.1.86 (KDE 4.2 >= 20081221)

as a commentary on this kind of report: it's the sort of thing that isn't exactly detrimental, but doesn't do exactly what one might expect as the result of user "creativity".

writing software today is like building little rooms with padded walls and no sharp corners so everybody can trip and fall all they want (often even on purpose) but nobody gets hurt.

suggestion to whoever fixes this one: leave tab items shouldn't be addable to Favourites.
