Sentry Crash Report:

Description Tobias G. Pfeiffer 2009-01-04 03:04:04 UTC
Version: 1.10.92 (using 4.1.85 (KDE 4.1.85 (KDE 4.2 Beta2)), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27-9-generic

In Kmail's message list, each line representing an email has several icons saying "is signed/encrypted", "has attachment" etc.
When Kmail crashes (which happens from time to time) or is otherwise not properly closed, then usually this information seems to be lost and is only shown again when manually selecting a single email. (However, information like "this email was replied to" is kept and still displayed.)
It would be great if there was a possibility (either automatic or manually) to loop over all messages and re-build this index because especially the display filter "has attachment" is built on this apparently lost property and the filter is then useless.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
