When an string (url) is copied with the mouse (just double click it and select copy from the context menu!, it does not matter from which application) and this data is than pasted into konqueror's url bar, it is pasted back twice.

So e.g. copied "this string" (using the context menu -> copy) and now paste it back to the url bar in konqueror (using <ctrl>V, or the context menu but now with paste, the result will be "this stringthis string".

The desired result is just "this string".

I have been seeing this bug for approx. a week.

I can confirm this bug, here is how I triggered it:

I was using Kate, writed a class name into the editor, copied it, then clicked on the "save as..." menu item, in the file chooser dialog I pasted using ctrl-v keys the string into the "name" entry, it got pasted twice.

If I paste right clicking and then choosing from the popup menu "paste" it got pasted only once. The same using the mid-click.

If I paste the same text in the Konqueror location bar, it got pasted twice.
