If you can reproduce the crash at will, can you read http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports and post a complete backtrace here? Thanks :)

Anyways, the backtrace says "plasma_applet_quickaccess.so" , and the QuickAccess is a unofficial plasmoid, however is crashing something in KIO.

I think this is 180673, there was some internal corruption in KDirModel when renaming an item, fixed for KDE-4.2.
