When I go to a flash site. Like youtube. The flash videos don't always play. Often I have to refresh the pages at least once or twice before the video shows up. When it is not playing youtube just has a black box. I have no problems with flash on Firefox. So I don't think it's flash. I have this problem on Fedora 10, Ubuntu 8.10, Arch Linux, OpenSuse 11.1. It may have existed before but I am not sure. The problem is confirmed for kde 4.1.3 as well as the betas and svn snapshots of kde 4.2. This doesn't seem to be as much of a problem outside of youtube.com (Though I have experienced it with a few other sites who's names I cannot recall.

Bug confirmed in r902024.
Comment 2 Andreas Koepfle 2009-01-06 04:30:59 UTC
I can confirm this bug. It also happens on other video pages like myvideo.de or sevenload.de. sevenload.de is the easiest way to reproduce the bug.
Konqueror version here is 4.1.87-2.3 on opensuse 11.1. Flash-player version is 10.0.15.3-1.1.

I see something similar on 4.1.96 - at least, first time I open page with flash it *never* plays. I usually do not refresh it, but I believe a couple of times I suddenly got flash after going back and forth between pages.

Same here. I'm using kde 4.2.0 on fc10 installed with rpms provided by kde-redhat repo.

I can confirm this bug on Debian Sid/Experimental with KDE 4.2.1 i386 and amd64.

It's not only video content that is not displayed but also SWFUplod does not work with Konqueror. No problems though whith Firefox/Iceweasel/Epiphany/Opera.
