I tried to use Ktorrent 3.1.4 with my Linksys WRT54G router (Tomato firmware). I have the UPnP plugin loaded, but it is useless: I cannot exchange any data; no UPnP connection established according to the router.

Where can I find the log you might need to resolve this bug? :)

Run ktupnptest, press the find routers button, hopefully your router will be detected (this might take a minute or so), if it is detected then try to forward a port.

Post the entire output here.

Ktupnptest detection/forwarding of Linksys WRT54G

The ktupnptest detected my Linksys WRT54G router, and it was able to forward the port correctly.
After running ktupnptest the initial error message that was reported when Ktorrent was launched  without upnp connection ("unable to init ktorrent") disappeared, and Ktorrent worked properly. The router lists the upnp connection with Ktorrent.

Sorry, but imho this feature should work out of the box.
Ktorrent now works well after restarting the computer as well, and of course it was not difficult to run ktupnptest for the first time... but this inconvenience may be a hard nut to crush for some users.
Do you think this is a distribution specific bug/inconvenience? Shall I report it to Mandriva?

It does work out of the box, ktupnptest is only a test application for debugging purposes, it uses exactly the same code as the upnp plugin itself.

No worksforme too with Ktorrent 3.2. Thank you!
