When I start the latest KDE, I get a message "starting akonadi server". I think this is a usability bug. The greatest software is software that makes your life easier without you even realizing it is running. 90% of computer users will be confused by this message, because they do not know what akonadi is, and they do not care. Besides, the name is not self-explanatory.

I firmly believe for every message from the computer about its internal state, it should be clear to the user which action is expected from him.

Please remove this message.

The progress dialog no longer shows up in trunk by default.

Can this be backported to 4.4?
It still shows up in KDE SC 4.4.2
