The following information would be (a) useful to users; (b) helpful for reporting bugs. None of this information seems to be currently available to the user.

1. In the Add Widget dialog, there should be a place for a much more comprehensive description of a plasmoid. The current one-line description is not enough.

2. In the Add Widget dialog, there should be a place for the version number of each plasmoid.

3. Accessible from the plasmoid itself (perhaps by clicking an item on the black bar?) there should be the following:
  3a. version number
  3b. URL where bugs should be filed
  3c. (less important) author
  3d. (less important, providing that item 2 exists) version number

Points 1 and 2 are included in KDE4.2 (and Info button that popups the AboutDialog of each plasmoid containing a description + version + authors), Point 3 is already reported in bug 177072 :)
