Description Stefan Tittel 2008-12-22 17:46:39 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

In the Kopete versions of KDE3 there was an option "suppress standard notifications". This option could be used to disable notifications for a contact list group or for a single contact.

I found this option very useful: I have lots of unimportant contacts in a group, whose status change I don't want to be notified about. Also I have some users, which due to technical problems log off and back on every couple of minutes. In both cases I find notifications to be annoying and would like to suppress them again as it was possible in KDE3.

It would be great if the "suppress standard notifications" option like it was in KDE3 could be brought back to KDE4 Kopete versions.

I think this bug/wish is for KNotify - because KNotify should support it.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
