Description Martin van Es 2008-12-22 13:39:25 UTC
Version: 4.1.85 (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

Setting Color mode to Grayscale in the printer dialog prints the document (pdf in Okular) in color (expected result: grayscale print).

Setting printer option "Print Color as Gray" to "On" prints grayscale as expected.

Can you confirm that it is only Okular when printing PDF's that is affected? Does Konquerer respect the setting ok?
Comment 2 Martin van Es 2008-12-22 21:03:51 UTC
I mentioned Okular only to add detail to my report in the first place.
I tested Konqueror now and yes, there the BW option works. Although I have little remark: the Black is "Full-color Black", ie it's printed using all color toners and not the black toner alone, like the printer's option "Print Color as Gray" does (HP2550).
This way it doesn't help reducing color-toner costs, but is merely a cosmetic option.

I guess black-toner only BW or a mapping of the printer option to this dialog if one exists would be too much asked? ;)

KDEPrint is obsolete, unmaintained and will never be revived. Closing all open bugs.
