Description jonobe 2008-12-22 10:01:35 UTC
Version: 1.4.1 (using KDE 4.1.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: I Don't Know

The mouse is not visible when over the sky in KStars, making it impossible to accurately navigate. Although it will operate invisibly.
It is a fresh install on ubuntu 8.10.
It worked fine before, when I was using on Ubuntu 8.04, but since switching to 8.10 I have this problem.

This bug was reported as resolved in another similar report - but there was no solution offered as far as I could tell.

Would appreciate a fix - kstars has been a fantastic program and I'm missing it already.

This is an important bug that was not in the original version of kstars and should be fixed and not marked 'resolved' It is an annoying aspect as you cannot navigate unless you use the right mouse button and navigate off another point.

Hi

This bug has been marked as 'RESOLVED' because it is a duplicate of bug 120581 (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120581).

Bug 120581 has been marked resolved with resolution 'UPSTREAM' because it has been confirmed that this is not a bug in KStars itself, but a bug in the XOrg drivers.

For the time being, there is a workaround, which has also been mentioned as a comment to Bug 120581. Please see:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120581#c11
and
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120581#c15

Thanks for your interest in KStars.
