Long story short the little icons to stop or pause a kio operation do not work. This is fairly important as often in the case of fish it simply stalls and stays stuck.

before (< beta 2) i would simply crash plasma by messing around with the notifications and they were then gone when plasma restarted (and then kill the kio process, if it was still there). Now that is impossible so it would be nice to have that working (even in normal situations where one would like to cancel a transfer).

well, it seems that it managed to complete when I killed fish, whereupon it stayed there in complete form and still wouldn't go away. I managed to get it to go away by dragging it out and crashing plasma as described in bug 176201.
