Dolphin doesn't have an option to get to the "Trashcan Settings" in order to configure the trashcan options. This kcm module is accesible from the Trashcan plasmoid in Plasma or running "kcmshell4 kcmtrash". Shouldn't this be accessible from Dolphin (and maybe SystemSettings) too ? Or the settings in the "Trashcan Settings" are only applied when you are using the Trashcan plasmoid and they would be useless when you don't have it in your Plasma destop/panel?

Yes, this setting should be available in Dolphin :-)

I agree, this is why I have just implemented this feature today, although I was not aware of this wish until now. Yeah, I also thought the same, Konqueror uses it, so does that plasma applet, Dolphin should be able to have this functionality on it's own, especially since it uses the trash:/ protocol.

Anyways, here is the revision number. Closing bug.
